We Bet You Never Knew These Interesting Facts About “Forrest Gump”
Elvis Never Received Credit
One person that was never credited in the movie is Kurt Russel, who reportedly voiced the role of Elvis. His name never made the credits despite the fact that he gave a remarkably convincing performance.
In 1979, he starred in a television movie about the King of Rock ‘N’ Roll. It was most likely this performance that got him in Forrest Gump.
Tom Hanks’ Brother Makes an Appearance
Tom Hanks spent a lot of time running during filming for Forrest Gump. For the long-distance running shot, however, he had a stunt double.
This stunt double was actually his younger brother, Jim, who was a keen running. The brothers look pretty similar so he was able to stand as in as substitute quite easily. This was lucky too because it meant the team had to do very little editing or clever camera work to make it look like it was actually Tom Hanks doing the running.
