According to some reports, about 80 people had received the counterfeit version of the medicine in a clinic in Mexico at the time the fake was detected. The fake, while seemingly harmless, did not prevent coronavirus infection.

The cyber police of the country were able to find the fake medicine after Pfizer vaccines were offered on the Internet for $ 2,500 per injection. Arrests followed.

In Poland, fortunately, no one managed to get the counterfeit medicine, based on the statements of the authorities. The police raided the man’s apartment with a search, where the counterfeit goods were found.

Pfizer is not surprised by such incidents. The huge demand for the vaccine and its shortage in the market leads to the fact that someone wants to cash in on it. It is difficult to imagine how many more people could have already received a fake vaccine, hoping to protect themselves from the disease. In such cases, the victim is lucky if, as in the story with Mexico, there are also no side effects.
